Animal Crossing: New Horizons ได้รับรางวัล Game of the Year จากแฟมิสึ

Kadokawa Game Linkage ได้ประกาศรายชื่อผู้ชนะรางวัล Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2020 ในงานออนไลน์สตรีม Game Live Japan เพราะการระบาดของ Covid-19 ยังมีอยู่ในญี่ปุ่น โดยเกมที่ได้รางวัลใหญ่ไปได้แก่เกม Animal Crossing: New Horizons ได้รับรางวัล Game of the Year ชนะผู้เข้าชิงอย่างเกม Ghost of Tsushima, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin และ Final Fantasy VII Remake ไปได้

รายชื่อผู้ได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงทั้งหมดได้รับการเผยแพร่ในวันที่ 24 กุมภาพันธ์ 2021 ผู้ได้รับการเสนอชื่อได้รับเลือกจากการโหวตของแฟน ๆ สำหรับเกมที่วางจำหน่ายในปี 2020 โดยการสำรวจส่วนใหญ่จะทำในญี่ปุ่น แต่ Famitsu และ Dengeki แต่ก็เปิดโอกาสให้แฟน ๆ เกมในประเทศจีนได้โหวดเกมยอดเยี่ยมด้วยเช่นกัน

• Best Scenario: The Last of Us Part II
• Best Creator in China: Hideo Kojima จาก Kojima Productions
• Best Game in China: Animal Crossing: New Horizons
